Return to Tebodin
Marc van der Velden (49) studied architecture at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and worked at Tebodin for a period of ten years before accepting a job with an international power automation company. After several years of professional wandering in different technical fields, he decided to return to Tebodin in 2006. He now works in a wide range of markets, from food to (petro-) chemicals, and from waste incineration and water treatment to utilities and offices. With this kind of background and work experience, Marc is in an excellent position to judge what exactly it is that makes working for Tebodin different.
Diversity
‘After my return to Tebodin in 2006, I worked as a project manager and lead civil engineer on several large projects, including a chemical plant, a palm oil plant and a biomass incineration plant. What really attracts me in Tebodin is the diversity, both in projects and clients. If you are passionate about technology and innovation, like I am, this diversity means there’s always something new and interesting to learn and get your teeth into. Also challenging and captivating at the same time is the level of freedom and responsibility you get at Tebodin, and the direct contact with clients.’
