Tebodin has signed a cooperation treaty with EPEA, an international scientific research and consultancy institute that improves product quality, utility and environmental performance via eco-effectiveness. EPEA is founded and led by Professor Dr. Michael Braungart. This cooperation enables Tebodin to assist clients in various market sectors in their wish to find Cradle to Cradle solutions. EPEA will train approximately ten Tebodin employees in the completion of engineering projects in a Cradle to Cradle manner.
Michael Braungart is one of the founders of the Cradle to Cradle philosophy. The leading principle of this philosophy is that waste can be converted to nutrients via biological and technical recycling processes. For Tebodin the Cradle to Cradle philosophy means that processes, products, buildings etc. need to be designed as effectively as possible. The objective is to reuse waste products and to develop creative solutions for materials and sustainable energy supplies.
Tebodin has realized several sustainable projects. Tebodin has recently been involved in a feasibility study in relation to sustainable opportunities for a new road in Limburg, the Netherlands. The results of this study will be presented in the first Cradle to Cradle exhibition in the Netherlands (www.cradletocradle.nl). Furthermore Tebodin is involved in several projects in which waste, raw materials and energy come together in both the industrial world and the building sector.
